First Images, Ponderings

The problem with technology is, well, technology.  Had we done this the old way, postcards and aerograms would long ago have been written and posted.  A blog requires time and connectivity - time was consumed by my work with the South Africa National Department of Health in Pretoria during our first week.

And now, on our first leg of the journey, we sit in a lodge at the foot of Sani Pass, the 2600 meter (~8500 foot) gateway to the Kingdom of Lesotho.  Connectivity sucks.  We'll see if I can post some photos with this text.

First some images from Pretoria, more musing is another post:

Kate visited a cheetah refugee where she got to pet one, cute!

We visited a bird refuge near our lodge in Pretoria, where we watched a Black heron stalk and "tent" to draw fish into its "shade."
